This saddle pad was made popular over 60 years ago by the western hero's we followed in dime store novels, movies and early television. It is considered even today, the most beautiful saddle pad ever made.
The artisans that possessed the skill were called masters, and the Spanish word used to describe this craft is chumetearo pronounced (chew-me-te-aro)
In early 2006 we set out to create the authentic saddle blanket, but quickly learned that the skill and detail needed to produce this blanket had not been handed down to the new generation. We had to find someone that still possessed the art of chumetearo, we found such a person, and with a select staff eager to learn we were on our way. Having spent thousands of hours, we at White Eagle have mastered the art of chumetearo and have recreated the saddle pad down to the finest detail. We look forward to a new generation of riders who will experience this beautiful blanket, no other western saddle pad could possibly evoke memories of the Great American West.
