There are a lot of good wall tents on the market these days, but we couldn't find one with all the features we wanted, or the tents were not built the way we felt they should be built. If the little things are not done right, it can make a big difference in the performance of a tent. So we put all our ideas together and designed a tent and had it built for us. We feel that the quality and craftsmanship of these tents make them a worthy companion to a Cylinder Stove. All tents come with 2 doors, stove jack, sod cloth, ropes with tensioners, and a canvas storage bag. The material we use on our canvas Wall Tents is 10.38 oz. preshrunk marine grade army duck canvas treated with sun forger to make it water repellant and mildew resistant. All seams are folded and double stitched with a lock stitch machine. All reinforcement patches are angled and match up evenly with adjoining patches. All corners, both on the sidewall and the ridge, are reinforced for added durability. The eave of the Wall Tent is stitched down to the wall between grommets to insure proper drainage. Tent wall is 5\'2" so that after shrinkage it will finish at a full 5 feet. Inside your deluxe Wall Tent along the eaves there are loops for clothes lines or dividers sewn in every 3 feet at the seams. There are also sewn in loops inside the tent at the base of the wall every 3 feet, these can be used to tie down a floor or other set items. We have incorporated a spacious, sown in pocket at the front of the tent for convenient storage and use. A door at each end makes for much better ventilation than a door and window. It also makes it easy to set up two tents together. Each door has a 7 ft. tall #10 zipper and has a 6" weather flap inside and outside of the door. These flaps have small grommets and D-rings for tying flaps shut if the zipper ever fails. At the bottom of each door is a nylon Fastex Buckle which keeps stress off zipper when setting up tent. All grommets are rolled-rim spur grommets. Each grommet is individually reinforced with webbing to increase strength.
A military-style rubber stove jack is angled on the top side to divert runoff around the pipe hole. The stove jack cover is removable, preventing it from ever touching stove pipe. Cover attaches with Velcro when a stove is not needed. A ridge pole opening at each end of ridge has a sock with drawstring for sealing off hole, keeping heat in and bugs out. 12" non-rotting sod cloth is sewn to the inside bottom edge of tent on all 4 sides. Optional zippered windows open from the inside and are covered with a heavy duty vinyl texteleen screen. The window flap is actually the same piece of canvas as the Wall Tent. There is no joint at the bottom of the flap, this eliminates any chance of leakage enhanceing the ability to provide waterproof canvas in the window area. BUILT TOUGH
Made in the mountains of Southern Utah to exacting specifications, every part of a Cylinder Stove and its accessories are designed to be easy to use, yet strong enough to LAST. All joints are completely welded, corners are rounded, and rough or sharp edges are ground smooth. The top and door are made of 10 gauge(.135) steel, the rest is made of 12 gauge(.105) steel and 14 gauge(.075) steel. The round cylinder is a rolled piece of steel, not a barrel or piece of pipe. WARP FREE DESIGN
The top of the stove has braces welded underneath it to keep the cooking surface flat. The door has a square frame welded to the inside to keep it flat and insure a tight seal against the stove. The rounded cylinder allows the stove to expand and contract uniformly, virtually eliminating any warpage in the body of the stove. Ashes settle to the bottom of the round cylinder, keeping heat off tent floor and preventing stove burnout. Cylinder Stoves provide an antique look unmatched by other Tent Stove makers.
